Day three and I am tired!

I had to dry my shoes, and bag using a dryer. It took me more than an hour and I’m tired doing it. Still, the shoes are not completely dry.

Today’s day began with a ride to the famed Chittorgarh Fort. It stands like a wall to the interior city. The fort is big enough to reside lakhs of people and have all the resources to feed them. Master planning by our ancestors!

While seeing all the historical elements of the fort, Manish Lamrod (fellow Blogger) shared a lot of historical facts about each. His knowledge about the fort, its history, battles, and people is super good and it all checks out too.

You can read all about this fort, and the battles fought here over the Wikipedia entry and check out the pictures I took in my entry 2 post of AISBT. Jai Mewar!

After that, we came down from the fort and had a crunchy and tasty samosa. And, after packing the things I am carrying in the rucksack, I began riding towards Udaipur. While driving down from the fort, it started raining again. The rain wasn’t that hard but it wasn’t that light, either.

Throughout my ride, the rain continued, which means, more than 112KMs of being Alia Bhat of Highway. Yes, I got lucky twice!

I again saw waterlogged farms, few rivers and a lot of people standing under the shelters. The greenery was bliss. I completed the distance with just one stop in midway.

Udaipur is a city which can be tagged with Apple of Eye (of Rajasthan). It’s beauty starts right from the outside which never leaves you. Like always, I didn’t have any hotel reservation, but I’ve planned to stay at Moustache Hostel Udaipur. It’s brand new right now and I was aware of its details.

So after driving through the Udaipur city, asking ways from people, I reached the place. I like asking address from people instead of relying on the GPS. It gives us a chance to interact with the locals. I don’t even have a GPS ready phone.

I took a bath, had lunch and then started drying my shoes and bag. I have been riding in the rain for two days and the waterproofing feature of shoes and bag seems to be failing now.

Tomorrow, I’ll be meeting a fellow blogger and then I’ll leave for Mt. Abu. Will update this post about everything next I’ll do in Udaipur tomorrow.

#Wanderlust | After fighting against my destiny for years, and trying to get a settle life, I finally decided to be a Free Bird. I always felt this appetite to Travel, which I ignored in early phase of my career (as a Blogger). HighwayMonks is my Escape now :)
